Students love science as they are actively involved with their own learning. It’s not about learning facts but the journey we take to discover these. Some students will leave Easington Academy with the desire to be the next generation of engineers, doctors or research scientists. But more importantly, all students will have the skills they need to solve problems using a scientific approach and have the curiosity to ask questions about the Universe around them.
We prepare our students for GCSE science by teaching the fundamentals of science from Year 7 and revisiting them throughout Year 8 building on these solid foundations. By the end of Year 7 and 8 they should have all of the tools to be successful at GCSE.
