Congratulations to Year 11 student and football team goal keeper Bradley Young (pictured below) who was selected to represent Durham County U16's for the coming season.

Bradley was superb in his first game making two outstanding saves in a 4-3 victory against Cleveland U16's.

The Year 7 boys football team continued their excellent start to the season with a 5-1 away victory at Longfield Academy of Sport. Thomas Watson was the hero scoring all five goals.

The Year 8 boys football team progressed to the third round of the Joicey Cup with a sudden death penalty shoot out victory over Dyke House. A very exciting and dramatic game finished 4-4 after extra time with Denny Tapping and Ryan Briggs scoring two goals each. Goalkeeper Layton Pigford was the hero saving two penalties before scoring the decisive sudden death penalty.

The Year 7 and 8 girls are now through to the third round of the national cup! The team beat Dyke House 7-0 with an excellent team performance.  Bridie Thompson scored 2 goals, Ellie Wise with 2 goals followed by Freya Willis with 2 goals and Katie Farry scored 1 goal.

The Year 11 boys football team continued their excellent start to the season with a hard fought 3-1 victory over St. Leonards school in the second round of the county cup. Aaron Davidson opened the scoring in the first half and Ross Laundon added two more goals in the second half with an excellent 20 yard strike and a header from a corner.

The Year 10 boys football team progressed to the next round of the county cup with a thrilling 4-2 victory over Cardinal Hume. The boys found themselves 2-0 down early on but recovered with a fine hat-trick by Ewan Johnson and a goal by Ethan Ball to progress to the quarter final.

Well done all!
