A group of adventurous Year 9 students will be taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award starting early next year.
The award consists of four sections; volunteering, physical, skills and expedition and they must do a minimum of three months activity for each of the four sections in their own free time.
Students must also plan, train for and do a two day (one night) expedition, which includes camping and cooking their own meals in June 2018 under the supervision of staff. This will equip them with the skills and knowledge to go it alone in July 2018.
