Speedy staff take part in Great North Run!

Congratulations to four speedy members of staff who zoomed round the Great North Run course last Sunday.

The lady in the little miss costume is our learning mentor Julie Collins who ran for Children with Cancer. Sally Hall our technology teacher also ran for Save the Children, and our school counsellor Sue Hutchinson and Louise Morton our geography teacher ran just for the sheer fun of it!

The Great North Run is the largest half marathon in the world, taking place annually in our region each September. Participants run 13.1 miles between Newcastle upon Tyne and South Shields. The run was devised by former Olympic 10,000m bronze medallist and BBC Sport commentator Brendan Foster and raises millions of pounds for charity every year.
