Football at Easington Academy has got off to a great start with a win for the Year 11 boys and jam-packed football trials in each year group.  

The Year 11 boys football team beat Shotton Hall 5-4 in a thrilling and entertaining game in the first round of the Bert Hodgson Trophy. Tom Lawson was the hero scoring four of the five goals - well done!

18 girls from Years 7 and 8 turned up for football trials in the hope of making the girls football team. They have their first game in the ESFA Playstation Schools Cup on the 28 September against Macmillan Academy. 

40 boys from Year 7 turned up for football trials this week hoping to make the team for the first game in the Compton and Harrison Cup away to Whitburn Church of England School on Wednesday 20 September.

The Year 8 boys football team have their first game of the season away at Belmont School in the Joicey Cup on Tuesday 19 September.

The Year 7, 9 and 11 boys football team have been drawn away to Dyke House in the first round ESFA Playstation Schools cup. With the ties to be played on Wednesday 27 September.
