Congratulations to our Year 11 boys' football team who have reached the County Cup final after a hard fought, 3-2, victory over St Wilfrid's.
Match report:
The boys raced into a two goal lead within ten minutes with great finishes from Tom Lawson and Josh Dickinson. Tom Lawson expertly added a third mid-way goal through the first half to give Easington a comfortable 3-0 advantage at half time.
Easington Academy took their foot off the pedal in the second half and allowed St Wilfrid's back into the match as they made it 3-1 with ten minutes to go. St Wilfrid's scored again bringing the school to 3-2 in the closing stages, making a very nervy, final few minutes. Easington Academy held on to the victory.
The boys will face Hurworth School at Maiden Castle, County Durham, on Tuesday 27 March in what should be a brilliant final. Good luck boys!
