Capital Radio came into the academy last week to announce the winners of a radio advert competition in which Year 10 students were challenged with creating a 30 second radio advert, promoting East Durham College (EDC).
Students had just 20 minutes to come up with an idea and a script using only a EDC prospectus and a planning sheet. At the end of the session, their group had to perform their advert and then answer a series of questions from the radio team.

Students won £30 of shopping vouchers and a trip to the radio station to professionally record their advert. Well done.
