A group of helpful Year 10 students hosted Duke of Edinburgh training workshops with Year 9 students last week.

The Year 10 students involved are currently completing their Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award in which they need to complete four sections; volunteering, skills, physical and then their expedition.

For the skills and volunteering section, they offered to train our Year 9 Bronze students to enable them to learn map reading skills, how to prepare and cook meals using camping stoves, how to pack their rucksacks, safety, how to put up tents and more.

DofE staff leaders were very impressed by how well the sessions were planned and delivered on Thursday, with all the Year 9 students engaged at all times.

Well done Year 10 - we are so proud of you.
