Year 8 french competition

As part of a language promotion initiative, students in our Year 8 French classes were invited to take part in a competition to test their language and memory skills.

Students competed as part of a pilot scheme courtesy of the Association for Language Learning North East which aims to help promote languages in schools.

Students each had to learn a piece of French poetry and recite it to others in the class without looking at the poem.

Two students stood out, Yusuf and Ella, who performed their poems on Friday. After a tough final between the two Ella was declared the overall winner.

What a fantastic achievement! Well done to everyone who took part.
