They're easing in well!

Our students are off to a great start this school year - we think they're 'easing' in very well!

Our teachers have nominated students from each year group across a range of subjects who are off to a flying start.

Year 7 music student - Lauren H

Lauren was nominated for attending choir and signing up for signing lessons. She's already heavily involved in the music department!

Year 7 PE student - Amber B

Amber was nominated for excellent attitude in PE lessons and commitment to extracurricular activities.

Year 7 science student - Ella G

Ella was nominated for producing an amazing first piece of science homework.

Year 7 media student - Thomas H

Thomas was nominated for his excellent approach to history!

Year 7 RE student - Dillon M

Dillon has had a fantastic start to Year 7 and always offers answers and shares ideas - he's working extremely hard!

Year 7 art student - Olivia B

Olivia was nominated for outstanding effort in all lessons. She has listened to advice and worked very well with others.

Year 7 geography student - Olivia O

Olivia O is very helpful and engaged with learning and was nominated for this reason during tutor time and geography lessons. 

Year 7 English student - Olivia F

Olivia has been nominated for working very hard and taking everything in her stride. 

Year 7 MFL student - Gracie C

Gracie has been nominated for her excellent attitude towards school life and learning. She is always so polite and keen to answer questions. She is an all rounder!

Year 8 music student - Louise W

Louise was nominated for making massive progress on the keyboard in such a short space of time. She even performs for the class!

Year 8 PE student - Ella W

Ella was nominated for demonstrating our IMPACT values in lessons and during extracurricular activites.

Year 8 science student - Krystal W

Krystal is very enthusiastic in lessons and always gives 100% in lessons.

Year 8 history student - Genevieve S

Genevieve was nominated for settling in so well and contributing so much.

Year 8 RE student - Mitchell W

Mitchell was nominated for working hard all the time and always trying extension work.

Year 8 art student - Evie P

Evie was nominated for making exceptional progress in a short time. Evie listens, works hard and takes pride in her work. 

Year 8 geography student - Frankie L

Frankie has shown lots of effort and application this year and it's reflected in his work.

Year 8 English student - Noah F

Noah has really impressed his teacher with his resilience and effort!

Year 8 MFL student - Louise W

Louise has returned to school and demonstrated IMPACT values exceptionally well. She's polite and tries her best in lessons.

Year 9 music student - Abigail Kitchin

Abigail gets involved in class discussions and is making great progress on the keyboard.

Year 9 PE student - Jack S

Jack was nominated for the positive start he's made when it comes to participation and effort. 

Year 9 science student - Matilda M

Matilda was nominated for her great attitude to work. She always works hard in science lessons.

Year 9 history student - Abigail L

Abigail was nominated as she is always willing to give an answer in class.

Year 9 RE student - Abigail A

Abigail always offers answers, shows enthusiasm and works hard!

Year 9 art student - Davis M

Davis has produced some excellent outcomes in art lessons. He works incredibly hard and shows real passion for the subject.

Year 9 geography student - Lincoln H

Lincoln was nominated for putting in lots of effort in geography lessons and really applying himself. This hard work is reflected in his work.

Year 9 English student - Matilda M 

Matilda was nominated for settling into her new class so well. She is enthusiastic and tries her very vest in addition to being a lovely and polite young lady. She even says thank you at the end of every lesson.

Year 9 MFL student - Alfie V

Alfie has returned to school with a very positive attitude to learning. He's made an excellent start to Year 9.

Year 10 music student - Layla W

Layla has started the year with a great attitude by attending Durham Regional Band to improve her music skills. She has also completed her homework to a great standard.

Year 10 PE student - Louie R

Louie was nominated for going above and beyond in GCSE PE!

Year 10 science student - Isaac L

Isaac is putting in amazing effort and showing great ability in physics. Miss Jenkins is very impressed with his equation-solving abilities! 

Year 10 history student - Harriet B

Harriet was nominated for always being conscientious. 

Year 10 media student - Denise U

Denise was nominated for a fantastic start to a new subject. Denise gives thoughtful contributions and shows a conscientious attitude towards work.

Year 10 RE student - Sophie D

Sophie has had an excellent start to Year 10, showing excellent presentation, effort, class work and homework. 

Year 10 art student - Leon W

Leon was nominated for being an outstanding pupils who completes al work and goes above and beyond in art.

Year 10 geography student - Leon W

Leon was nominated for geography also for his 100% effort and great work in lessons and at home.

Year 10 English student - Callum L

Callum works hard and is a polite young man!

Year 10 MFL student - Alexia G

Alexia was nominated for her renewed confidence in French. She volunteers answers and has had her work featured on our WOW wall! 

Year 11 music student - Jessica R

Jessica makes fantastic effort in lessons. She's made great progress with coursework and always strives to do better. 

Year 11 PE student - Jake A 

Jack was nominated for his improved attitude to learning.

Year 11 science student - Abi S

Miss Jenkins and Mr Sedman are both impressed with Abi's participation and her knowledge of science.

Year 11 history student - Emily B

Emily was nominated for studying extra hard and doing well in each lesson.

Year 11 media student -  Layla-Rose W (Also nominated as stand out student for media)

Layla is constantly pushing herself to improve in Media Studies. She often leads thought-provoking discussions in lessons and is a great peer-mentor to other students in the class. 

Year 11 RE student -  Sophie K (Also nominated as stand out student for RE)

Sophie has improved her organisation and confidence by volunteering to answer more and putting in lots of effort.

Year 11 art student -  Summer T

Summer was nominated for an excellent start to Year 11 mock exams.

Year 11 geography student -  Abi S (Also nominated as stand-out student for geography)

Abi has made an excellent start tp the year with a conscientious attitude to her class work and homework. She engages in lessons and is working hard on her recall through SMART quiz grids.

Abi has returned to school with a positive attitude and has been very active in participating in class discussion. She's trying really hard!

Stand out student for English - Preston P (Also nominated as stand out student for English)

Preston has come back to school with an excellent attitude and he is translating to an excellent standard.

Stand out students for music - Abigail H and Eva K

They have both spoken in assembly all week and their teacher is very proud of them!

Stand out student for PE - Olivia C

Olivia is an amazing role model for other students in PE.

Stand out student for science - Talia A

Talia has a great attitude to her work and is keen to answer questions in class. She's had a fantastic start to the year so far.

Stand out student for history - Aloma S

Aloma was nominated for being conscientious, mature, and having an excellent work ethic.

Stand out student for art - Layla-Rose W

Layla bagged a second subject nomination for being kind, helpful and showing maturity and dedication during lessons.

Stand out student for MFL - Daniel G

Daniel has tried exceptionally hard since starting his GCSEs. His fantastic attitude shows and is keen to produce the bet work he can. He is part of creating a lovely, warm atmosphere in lessons by providing support and encouragement to his peers.
