Congratulations to our Year 10 students who completed their Dementia Awareness training this week.
The training, delivered by Belinda Williams and members of the Alzheimer Society, aims to develop dementia friendly communities within Easington and East Durham.
The 18 students who took part each received a badge in recognition of completing their training and they will now work with Years 7 and 8 to raise awareness of dementia. Well done!
The word ‘dementia’ describes a set of symptoms that may include memory loss and difficulties with thinking, problem-solving or language. These changes are often small to start with, but for someone with dementia they have become severe enough to affect daily life
