Debra has lived in East Durham all her life and feels very passionate about the local community and especially the young people of the area. Debra believes all children deserve equality of opportunity in accessing a good education and believes that schools have a responsibility to educate, encourage and nurture all children so that they can make a positive contribution to society.
She is a very proud parent and grandparent and loves spending time with her family. As a dedicated Sunderland fan, Debra spends many Saturday afternoons at the Stadium of Light.
