The Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme (DofE) has continued to be successful at Easington Academy with many students using their initiative and creativity to achieve their bronze and silver awards.
We currently have 55 students undertaking the bronze award and 15 students tackling silver. Expeditions 'with a difference' are due to take place in 2021 with students chomping at the bit to get stuck in whilst developing vital skills for life and work.
We are also delighted to announce that all Year 9 students will now be given the opportunity to take part in the bronze award. Amidst the uncertainties we are all facing, it is vitally important that students are given exciting and valuable opportunities to enrich their lives and DofE certainly ticks those boxes.
Any young person can do their DofE and achieving an award isn’t a competition or about being first, it’s all about setting personal challenges and pushing personal boundaries.
