On Monday, a group of Year 11s visited Durham High School for Girls to attend ‘A Road Less Travelled’ conference, aiming to motivate girls to enter traditionally male-dominated careers.
Ran by the National Council of Women, guest speakers included Professor Sue Black OBE, Dr Yitak Graham and Jeni Banks who shared their stories in industries such as computer science, healthcare, and engineering.
The girls left the conference feeling inspired to take on any challenge as they approach the next stage of their education.
